Dr. Rajdeep Deb is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Mizoram University (A Central University), Aizawl, Mizoram. Dr. Deb received his B.Sc degree in Physics from North Eastern Hill University (A Central University), Shillong, Meghalaya; M.B.A. degree with specialization in Marketing from Assam University (A Central University), Silchar, Assam; MA degree in Tourism Management from IGNOU, New Delhi; and Ph.D. degree on Social Entrepreneurship from Department of Commerce, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya.

After completion of M.B.A, he joined Girijananda Chwdhury Institute of Management and Technology, Guwahati, Assam, in 2008 as a Lecturer and worked there till 2019. On July 31, 2019, he joined the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Mizoram University as an Assistant Professor. He has more than 17 years of teaching and research experience.

His research interests include entrepreneurship, marketing, ecotourism, community-based tourism, rural tourism, and other forms of sustainable tourism. He has published several research papers in reputed national and international peer reviewed journals as well as presented papers in national and international conferences. Moreover, he has also completed three research projects (as PI and Co-PI), two funded by ICSSR and one by Mizoram University.

Besides academics, Dr. Deb is actively involved in various capacity development programmes organized for local youths to enhance their employability skills.
