Department of Computer Engineering
About the Department :
The Department of Computer Engineering was established in the year 2011 under the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and the department is conducting 4 years Bachelor of technology (B.tech) course in Computer Engineering with an intake capacity of 30 students. The first batch was started in the month of August 2012 and subsequent batches are started thereafter. Out of 30 intake, 15 students are taken through JEE main and 15 student are taken through MZUEEE (Mizoram University Engineering Entrance Examination). There are three (03) computer labs with 30 or more computers. All class rooms are equipped with ICT Facilities. The department has dedicated state of the art high performance Computing Laboratory with 1:1 computer student ratio guided by Teacher and technical staff. The primary focus is to impart quality education in the field of Computer Science & Engineering with Practical knowledge. The students will have opportunities to gain industrial exposure through industrial programme offered in the course.

- Lalnuntluanga and Mr. Vanlalmuanpuia, IV Year ( 2020-2024 Batch) have registered copyright for an unpublished work on the topic “An Integrated Agriculture Supply Chain Model Using Machine Learning with IOT Technology in Mizoram North East State”.
- Abhinav Thakur, III Year ( 2021-2025 Batch), along with his teammates, presented a paper on “ Melona Skin Cancer Detection Using Ensemble of Machine Learning Models Considering Deep Feature Embedding” for the International Conference on Machine Learning and Data Engineering (ICMLDE 2023).
- G.Ragunath, III Year (2021-2023 Batch), along with prominent professors, published a work on the topic “De-Noising and Segmentation of Medical Images using Neutrophillic Sets” on the Journal, ‘Fusion : Practice and Application’.(Scopus Indexed).
- Lalnuntluanga and Mr. Vanlalmuanpuia, IV Year ( 2020-2024 Batch) have won 5th position for the INNOVATTOR’S DAY 2023, a National Level Project contest.
- Akash Choudhary, III Year ( 2021-2023 Batch) completed his internship at Indian Instistute of Technology, Patna on the basics of Ethereum.
