About:
The Department of Extension Education and Rural Development started functioning since 2001 under the School of Earth Science and Natural Resources Management, Mizoram University. It is one of the few academic departments in the country which offers Masters and Ph.D. Degrees in Rural Development. The Department, in addition to its normal academic programmes, is actively involved in research works in the field of rural development and organizes programmes for livelihood enhancement of rural women in partnership with other government and non-government organizations.
