About:

The Public Relations Cell was established on 21st December, 2011 with the appointment of the Public Relations Officer.

The main goal of this PR Cell is to provide a robust interface for the University and its various functions and programs with all stakeholders, and the disseminating of information to the media / public as and when required. The PR Cell helps coordinate various University events, and attends to visiting delegates.

Main Functions:

The main function of the PR Cell is to generate publicity for the University and its programs as being a premier and progressive academic institute, and disseminating information to the media/public as and when required. The PR Cell helps document & coordinate various University events, and attends to delegates visiting the University, and is responsible for the designing of various University promotional items.
The Cell attends to various events and reports specified by the Central Govt. and the UGC as and when authorized by the University authorities. In terms of University promotion and other PR platforms/requirements, the cell follows the guidelines set up by UGC and the Central Government. No issue or News is publicized without the instruction or permission of Higher authority of the University.

Vision:

The Cell continues to promote and defends the University’s reputation through a variety of channels with a vision to deliver communications and highlight the University’s academic achievements. At Present, with the recent establishment of the University Media Studio under the Public Relations Cell, the cell is working towards the enhancement of Academic Services which will facilitate recording of Special lectures and academic programmes & research work in audio visual format.

Contribution of the Department/Cell in quality related aspects of the University:

1. Dissemination of Information with regard to University events and achievements to the Media, Public, University Community, its Stakeholders and the Central officials in Higher Education.
2. Publication of University Prospectus, Newsletter and Calendar since the inception of the Cell.
3. Documentation of University Events and activities and dissemination of information when requested.
4. Attending to Social Network, Emails and Phone enquiry from students and the public.
5. Speech Writing & Drafting for various University authorities and government officials in relation to the context of the University.

Contribution of the Department/Call in academic related aspects of the University:

1. The Cell records, edits and publicize Special Lectures, Online Teachings and Webinar for students, faculty and those in the academic community.
2. The cell helps to promote academic events organized by different departments of the University, documenting them via photography and videography, and publicizing them to the Media and promoting & Compiling them for various platforms such as the University Newsletter.
3. The Cell promotes various achievements of the University Students and Faculty through various Social Media Handles.
