Mizoram University is delighted to announce that Prof. Sushil Kumar Sharma, Senior Professor (Level-15) in the Department of Hindi and former Head of Department and Dean, School of Education and Humanities, has been awarded the prestigious Srijan Shikhar Puraskar by the Nandi Seva Trust, Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). The award was conferred in recognition of his notable work, Sarveshwar Dayal Saxena: Drishti aur Srishti, and his distinguished expertise in Medieval Hindi Literature and literary criticism.
Prof. Sharma’s creative journey in Hindi language and literature has garnered international acclaim. As a dedicated educator, prolific author, and prominent critic, he has tirelessly promoted and advanced the Hindi language on the global stage.
Currently, Prof. Sharma stands as the only Senior Professor (Level-15) of Hindi in Northeast India—a distinction that brings immense pride to the university and the Hindi academic community.
