Mizoram University Launches Anti-Ragging Campaign with Creative Competitions

As part of the observance of Anti-Ragging Week 2025, the Office of the Dean of Students’ Welfare, Mizoram University, launched the Anti-Ragging Campaign on 14th August 2025 at the University Auditorium. To mark the occasion, a series of competitions—Essay Writing, Slogan Writing, and Poster Making—were organized for the students of Mizoram University, aimed at spreading awareness and reinforcing the university’s strong stand against ragging.

The Dean’s Office appointed Dr. Lalhmingliana Renthlei (Assistant Professor, Department of Management), Dr. Grace Lalhlupuii Sailo (Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work), and Mr. Lalbiakdika Zongte (General Secretary, MZUSC) as judges for the competitions. Entries were carefully evaluated based on creativity, relevance, and impact.

The winners were awarded certificates along with cash prizes of ₹2,500 for First Prize, ₹1,500 for Second Prize, and ₹1,000 for Third Prize.

  • 2nd Prize: Tulika Panda, Department of Forestry

  • 3rd Prize: Elizabeth Lalchhanchhuahi Hmar, Department of Information Technology

Slogan Writing Competition

  • 1st Prize: Tulika Panda, Department of Forestry

  • 2nd Prize: Mosin Ahmed Barbhuiya, Department of Management

  • 3rd Prize: Elizabeth Lalchhanchhuahi Hmar, Department of Information Technology

Through this campaign and student engagement, Mizoram University reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment.
