On 14th August 2025, the Department of Social Work, Mizoram University, in collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur, organised the Young Martyrs Gallery event to mark the observance of India’s 78th Independence Day.
Held at the Mizoram University Auditorium, the programme commenced at 10:00 a.m. and was graced by Prof. Dibakar Chandra Deka, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Mizoram University, as Chief Guest. The gallery served as a moving tribute to the young martyrs who laid down their lives for India’s freedom, offering attendees a poignant reminder of their immense sacrifice and enduring legacy.
The event was attended by students and faculty members of Mizoram University, who came together to honour the nation’s heroes and reflect on the values for which they stood.
