Mizoram University observed a Mass Pledge under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) on 13th August 2025, as part of its 79th Independence Day celebrations. The event, held at Mizoram University Park at 2:30 PM, brought together students, faculty, and staff in a united commitment to building a drug-free society.
Convened by Prof. Lalnundanga, Registrar of Mizoram University, the programme featured a pledge-taking ceremony led by Dr. R. Lalchhanhima, Dean of Students’ Welfare. Participants solemnly pledged to uphold the values of the NMBA, supporting the national mission to eliminate substance abuse and promote healthy lifestyles.
Through this meaningful act of collective resolve, the Mizoram University community reaffirmed its dedication to advancing the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat, strengthening its role in fostering social responsibility and national well-being.
