Mizoram University proudly celebrated Independence Day 2025 on the morning of 15th August in the courtyard of the Administrative Building at the MZU Campus. Faculty, staff, students, and dignitaries gathered at 8:00 a.m. to honour the nation’s freedom and pay tribute to its enduring spirit.
The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dibakar Chandra Deka, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, evoking a profound sense of unity and pride among attendees. Prof. Deka then delivered an inspiring address, reflecting on the significance of Independence Day and the collective responsibility to uphold the values of the nation.
As part of the celebration, the Best Library User Awards were presented in both teacher and student categories, recognising exemplary engagement with the university’s learning resources. The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks from Prof. Lalnundanga, Registrar of Mizoram University, who expressed gratitude to all contributors for making the occasion a resounding success.
