Aizawl, 29 August 2025: The Department of Chemistry, Mizoram University, in collaboration with the Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC), successfully concluded its week-long International Workshop on Current Trends in Advanced Oxidation Processes for Sustainable Development with a Valedictory Function held on 29th August 2025 at 4:00 PM in the Guest House Seminar Hall, MZU.
The programme opened with a Welcome Address by Prof. N. Mohondas Singh, Head of the Department of Chemistry, who warmly acknowledged the participants and reiterated the workshop’s role in fostering sustainable research practices. A comprehensive Report of the workshop was presented by Prof. Diwakar Tiwari, Convener and Principal Investigator of the SPARC Project, summarizing the sessions, deliberations, and key outcomes. Participants also shared their reflections, noting that the workshop had significantly enriched their academic knowledge and broadened their research perspectives.
Certificates of participation were then distributed to all attendees, marking the successful completion of the training. Delivering the Valedictory Address, Prof. Lalnundanga, Registrar of Mizoram University and Chief Guest of the function, emphasized the need for collaborative initiatives in advancing sustainable technologies and praised the workshop as a timely contribution to global academic discourse.
The function was also graced by Dr. Lalhmunsiama, Co-Convener and Co-Principal Investigator of the SPARC Project, who conveyed gratitude to the distinguished resource persons, participants, and organizing committee for their dedicated contributions.
The closing ceremony marked a fitting conclusion to a week of intellectual exchange and international collaboration, underscoring Mizoram University’s commitment to advancing sustainable development through quality research.
