As per the notification No 5-33/Estt.I/12/166 dated 25th May 2023, It is hereby informed that following Redressal of Grievance of Students Committee (2023-2025) is constituted in terms of University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023 and its guidelines. This committee will address any grievance of a student as mentioned in the Regulations.

- The function of the Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) is to look into the complaints lodged by any student, and judging on merit take necessary steps.
- Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the SGRC in person or grievances may be dropped in writing and sent through e-mail to the link provided here- (ONLINE LINK will be updated soon)
- SGRC also encourage the students to express their grievances / problems freely and frankly, without any fear of being victimized.
- Advising students to respect the right and dignity of one another and show utmost restraint and patience whenever any occasion of rift arises.
- To investigate the cause of grievances and ensure effectual solution to the online submitted grievances by the students.
The SGRC will deal with Grievances received in writing from the students about any of the following matters: –
- Academic Matters: Related to timely issue of Mark-sheets and Certificates, or other examination related matters.
- Financial Matters: Related to dues and payments for various items from library, hostels etc.
- Other Matters: Related to issues about conditions of sanitation, preparation of food, transport, unfair treatment by teachers, students, etc.
- MZU will provide an online portal facility where any aggrieved students may submit an application seeking redressal of grievance.
- On receipt of an online complaint, the institution refers the complaint to the SGRC, along with its comments within 15 days of receipt of complaint on the online portal.
- After receipt of the online complaint, the SGRC will fix a date for hearing the complaint which is communicated to the aggrieved students. The cases will be attended promptly on receipt of written grievances from the students.
- The SGRC will review all cases and act accordingly.
- The SGRC will give report to the authority about the cases attended to and the number of pending cases, if any, which require direction and guidance from the higher authorities preferably within a period of 15 working days from the date of receipt of the complaint.
- Any student aggrieved by the decision of the SGRC may appeal to the Ombudsperson, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of such decision.
- Grievances not resolved by the SGRC within the time period provided in these regulations may be referred to the Ombudsperson by the University.
