Hindi Cell was established on 1st March, 2011 with the appointment of Hindi Translator and started functioning as a full-fledged cell with the appointment of Hindi officer on November, 2011. This cell oversee with all the letters coming in Hindi from UGC, MHRD, Ministry of Home Affairs and other Universities etc. Translation of Annual Report, Annual Account Report and Annual Audit report from English into Hindi and translation of Hindi RTI letters and other important received Hindi letters into English are the main work of the cell. To implement the use of Official Language Hindi in every day office work. Making the signboards, nameplates, rubber stamps, letter head etc. in bilingual (Hindi and English) form. Corresponding of letters in bilingual format whenever necessary. On order to fulfill the requirements for which Hindi Officers’ post have been created, the concerned Officer and staffs are doing translation work from English to Hindi and vice-versa and vetting thereof. To acquaint the Officers and staffs of the concerned departments with the provisions of Official Language Act, Government rules and orders relating to Official Language and Hindi Training have been facilitated to them. The Hindi Officer also work as the secretary of the Official language Implementation Committee of the department/office and convenes meeting from time to time, to prepare the agenda and minutes of the meetings and co-ordinates the action taken on the decision in the meeting.
