International Conference on Science and Technology for Innovative and Sustainable Development

The aim and objective of STISD-2023 is to deliberate on “Science and Technology for Innovative and Sustainable Development” and provide a platform for the dialogue among the participants on the emerging developments in the frontier areas of chemistry for Sustainable Development. Theme of STISD-2023 strives to convey a powerful message of scientific approach for an equitable growth through sustainable, holistic, responsible and inclusive development. STISD-2023 conference is expected to draw national & International participants both from academia and industry to disseminate latest scientific & technological achievements and exchange ideas besides for the exploration of collaborations on the basis of recent discoveries, practical challenges encountered and effective solutions adopted in diverse areas of chemical sciences as well as to contribute for the Sustainable Development through the advancements in Science and Technology.

University
Mizoram University was created by an Act of Parliament (No. 8 of 2000) and it became functional from 2nd July, 2001. The University is located at Aizawl, the capital city of Mizoram and is spread over 978.1988 acres in an area on the outskirts of the city. Mizoram University was accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC in 2019. The University was ranked as one of the top 100 Universities in India, assessed by the NIRF rankings in 2016, 2017 and 2018 under MHRD.
Department
The Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry, Mizoram University were established in the year 2006 and 2019 respectively. Since their inception, both the departments have been offering Post Graduate (PG) and Ph.D. programs. The Chemistry Department is supported by DST-FIST, New Delhi. The PG program in Industrial Chemistry is providing theoretical, practical and industrial training to the students. The faculty members have been undertaking research projects sponsored by various national funding agencies such as UGC, DST, DBT, CSIR, SERB, DRDO, DAE etc.
How to reach
Aizawl can be reached by Air through Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati or Shillong. The MZU is approximately 28 Km away from Lengpui Airport. Taxis on the reserved or sharing basis are available from the Airport to reach the University. Silchar is the nearest railway station to Aizawl. The journey by road on shared SUVs from Silchar to Aizawl takes around 6 Hrs. Aizawl can be reached from Guwahati or Shillong through night buses or SUVs also.
Accommodation
Accommodation for delegates will be arranged on payment basis in University Guest House and local hotels. The participants need to send prior request for the same.
