The International Conference “Current Advances in Chemical Science Research and Education” is committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and the sharing knowledge among scientists, researchers and educators of chemical sciences. Our aim is to create a dynamic and encouraging platform that showcases the latest developments in chemical sciences, with the ultimate aim of advancing our understanding of emerging themes in chemical sciences research and education. The aim of this international Conference is to provide an inclusive interdisciplinary platform for researchers, eminent scholars, and educators to present & discuss their most recent results, discoveries, as well as challenges encountered and practical solutions adopted in drug design, organic synthesis, organometallics, supramolecular chemistry, herbal formulations, natural product chemistry, materials for catalysis, energy harvest and storage, nuclear chemistry, and polymer chemistry aimed at propelling forward the boundaries of chemical science research and applications.
We invite scientists, researchers, students and educators to join us in the CACSRE-2024 Conference. By participating, you may be an important part of a vibrant community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of knowledge by exploring the emerging challenges and opportunities in Chemical Sciences.
Selected paper from the conference will published in a Springer journal and other accepted paper will be published in an edited book. We also have five oral and poster awards sponsored by Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), for outstanding presenters during the event.
A local sightseeing tour will be arranged on 9th November. Those interested in joining the tour are requested to fill out the form.

About the University and Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT):
Mizoram University was created by an Act of Parliament (No. 8 of 2000) and it became functional from 2nd July, 2001. The University is located at Aizawl, the capital city of Mizoram and is spread over 978.1988 acres. Mizoram University was accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC in 2019. The University was ranked as one of the top 100 Universities in India, assessed by the NIRF rankings under ministry of Education.
Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT), founded in 2000 is the national registered organization of Chemistry educators of India and since its inception, has consistently promoted excellence in Chemistry Education through its manifold activities. The idea of formulating ACT was conceptualized by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (TIFR), Mumbai. ACT organizes several National and International conferences, regional conferences, training workshops, research meets and Chemistry competitions. Concept Test in Chemistry for BSc students, publication of an online ACT newsletter, and presentation of awards to the Outstanding Chemistry Teachers of the country are the other notable activities of ACT. The Association is responsible for the setting of the National Standard Examination in Chemistry question paper of the Indian National Chemistry Olympiad and collaborates with IUPAC in organizing the annual Global Womens’ Breakfast (GWB) in February. The website of ACT is www.associationofchemistryteachers.org.
About the Depts. of Chemistry & Industrial Chemistry, MZU, & Dept. of Chemistry, Pachhunga University College (PUC):
The Departments of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry, Mizoram University was established in the year 2006 and 2019 respectively. Since their inception, both departments are offering Post Graduate (PG) and Ph.D. programs. The Chemistry Department is supported by DST-FIST, New Delhi. The PG program in Industrial Chemistry is providing theoretical, practical and industrial training to students. The faculty members have been undertaking research projects sponsored by various national agencies such as DST, DBT, CSIR, SERB, DRDO etc. PUC is the constituent college of MZU and it is imparting undergraduate studies in chemistry.
How to reach:
Aizawl can be reached by Air through Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati or Shillong. The MZU is approximately 28 Km away from Lengpui Airport. Taxis on the reserved or sharing basis are available from the Airport to reach the University. Silchar is the nearest railway station to Aizawl.
