Mizoram University, Aizawl has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi, marking a significant step towards advancing the G20 University Connect Hub Initiative and fostering new opportunities in academic and research collaboration. Under this MoU, both institutions will engage in joint projects, faculty exchange programmes, and a range of related academic endeavours over an initial five-year period, guided by mutually agreed terms and conditions.
The MoU was formalized during an online meeting on June 3, 2025, held alongside the Global South Conference in New Delhi. Prof. Dibakar Chandra Deka, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Mizoram University, signed the agreement on behalf of the University, with Prof. Srinibas Pathi, Head of the Department of Public Administration, present as a witness, as the department has been designated the nodal department for implementing activities under the MoU.
Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi, Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University and Director General of RIS, signed the MoU on behalf of RIS. The agreement will come into effect upon the exchange of duly signed copies between the two institutions, paving the way for impactful academic cooperation and knowledge sharing.
