About:

The Security Cell came into existence since the inception of Mizoram University. The basic responsibility of the Security Cell is to maintain peace and harmony inside the campus as well as protecting university assets, flora and fauna stretching over 987.326 acres of the University campus. The cell handled many cases and resolve accordingly to provide a healthy environment for student and campus dwellers to pursue their futute endeavour.

Service provided :

• Providing 24 x 7 area coverage at Gate-I, Gate-II, Vice Chancellors’ Bungalow and Registrars’ Bungalow.
• Stationing security guards at administrative building, schools and other important buildings during office working hours.
• Providing patrolling to cover each and every corner of the campus after office working hours.
• Monitoring 38 cameras of CCTV
• Issuing identity cards for student, scholar, faculty, non-teaching staff, contract employee and casual employee.
• Dealing and monitoring campus visit, commercial users (road show, photo & video shooting) and providing reliable guide for the visitors.
