Dr. Rajesh Ramasamy is an Assistant Professor at the Mizoram University (A Central University) in Aizawl, Mizoram, India, where he teaches in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management for the Post-graduate students and Ph.D. research scholars. He has an MBA in Tourism, a Ph.D. in Tourism Studies, and Postgraduate Diplomas in Statistical & Research Methods and Event Management from Pondicherry University. He has qualified UGC-JRF & NET in (Tourism Administration & Management) and (Management) disciplines. He is a gold medallist in the graduation. He has twelve years of teaching and industrial experience in the field of tourism. Tourism Research Methods, Indigenous Community Development, Festival Tourism, and Tourism Entrepreneurship are some of his research interests. He has been recipients of the UGC-Junior Research Fellowship, the UGC-Senior Research Fellowship, five major and minor research projects from the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, ICSSR-NERC, Shillong, ICSSR, New Delhi and Mizoram University. At the parent university, he is also supervising four Ph.D. research scholars in the stream of Tourism and Hospitality Management. In addition to writing, a text book, two reference books and edited four books with the well-known national and international publishers. A total of 40 research papers and book chapters have been published in the reputed journals that are indexed in the Scopus, Web of Science, UGC Care List and ABDC databases and also earned six h-index, four i10 index and 632 citations to date. He has also presented many of his research works in the various national and international conferences, seminars and symposiums and delivered a quite good number of invited lectures at different forums of the Higher Educational Institutions of India.
