Mizoram University is proud to announce that Senior Professor Vishwambhar Prasad Sati of the Department of Geography and Resource Management has been appointed as a mentor to three international fellows of Academics Stand Against Poverty (ASAP), a distinguished initiative under the Global Justice Program at Yale University, USA, for the year 2025.
The three fellows—representing India, Germany, and Peru—underscore the global reach and academic diversity of the program. Professor Sati’s selection as a mentor highlights his outstanding commitment to international academic collaboration and his impactful contributions to the critical field of poverty alleviation.
In 2024, Professor Sati had already successfully supervised one ASAP fellow, further exemplifying his dedication to mentoring emerging scholars from around the world. His continued role as an international mentor reflects his scholarly excellence and global recognition in geography, development, and sustainability.
Mizoram University warmly congratulates Professor Sati on this significant achievement, which brings international honour and visibility to the University and reinforces its commitment to global academic engagement.
